My tiny house is way too small to fit a computer desk so I had to get creative. So I put my computer up in the roof rafters. I had to make a chair swing out of rope and plywood and my computer is almost a decade old, has no case and is mounted to the wall. I may have the most cursed computer setup on earth

When I went to start my generator the rip cord broke and so I couldn’t start it. I had to get my much larger backup generator and drag it 800ft to the solar. I got it fired up and charging the batteries #DIY #offgrid #generator

I had some design oversights when making my chicken coop that I’m fixing now. the egg collecting door on the coop would get blocked by ice and snow so I’m taking off the door and modifying it to prevent this. I’m also giving the chickens a new layer of straw for the chicken run and throwing treats In there for them to find. I also had to clean the doorway for the run and put up a new barrier. And I added plastic around the coop to help keep out some more wind. #DIY #offgrid #homestead #chickens

I’m building a GIGANTIC hugelkulture. This thing is 6ft tall and it will hopefully provide a lot of nice benefits for growing food on. Hugelkultures is layers of rotten wood covered with dirt. As the wood breaks down it will feed the soil and turn into more soil. It will also soak up and hold water like a sponge so it won’t need any irrigation. The Hugel mound also increases growing space by almost double because you plant on both sides of the 6ft tall mound. #DIY #offgrid #homestead #hugelkultur

Today I’m making some big quality of life upgrades for the shack which includes a built in desk chair which will replace the swing I was using before. I’m also building a 3 in 1 piece of furniture which will act as my new dresser, seating and step stool up to the bed. I tried to fix the generator but they did not make this thing repair friendly at all. A lot of commentors said they could have fixed the pull cord in 5 minutes but I’ve been trying to fix this generator for 2 hours and I’m calling it quits. I think it’s dead for good. Another project Stardew shack update part 25. Today I’m making cabinet doors for the kitchen cabinets. I’ve never made cabinet doors before so this was a little nerve racking but I think they turned out really nice. And the cabinet doors have drastically changed the entire look of the interior. The shack is almost done and nearly Pinterest worthy.

I have a ton of eggs but I refuse to sell them. Instead I choose to give them away to family, friends and neighbors, coworkers. I want the people I care about to be eating high quality food which is next to impossible to find in the grocery stores. #offgrid #homestead #community
