You gona learn today !!! (Some of these newgrad doctors are honeslty so full of themselves they need a nurse to teach them some manners … #medhumor #funny #doctor
I saw a client today that didn’t want to be with her dog when it was euthanised. And trust me I know how hard it is , I’ve also lost pets that were very close to me . But I convinced her to stay and be with her dog as he was euthanised and she was so grateful that she did . We love our pets and because of that we have to be there with them and give them comfort in their last minutes ! They deserve it ❤️❤️ #doglovers #catlovers #vet #veterinarian
⚠️ Warning dog owners!! – I need to bring this to your attention because I’m seeing it way too often, and it’s incredibly serious. Let’s talk about bloat in dogs, also known as GDV, which stands for Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus. It usually happens when a dog eats a big meal or drinks a lot of water, and then runs around or exercises right after. What happens is the stomach fills with gas and starts to bloat, and in some cases, it can twist on itself. When that happens, it blocks off major blood vessels and traps everything inside the stomach. A dog with GDV will often try to vomit, but nothing comes up—and that’s a red flag. The pressure keeps building, and it can cut off blood flow and even make it hard for your dog to breathe. It’s a life-threatening emergency, and dogs can die within hours if it’s not treated quickly. So please—especially if you have a large or deep-chested breed—be really careful. Know the signs, and if you’re ever in doubt, get to a vet immediately. This condition is no joke. #dogs #vet #dogowners
This is based on my personal experience with these breeds . But anyone who owns one of these breeds , is this all true ?? Lets hear it #greenscreen #dogs #dogowners #cockerspaniel #sharpei #bernesemountaindog #dachshund
The worst thing that could possibly happen!!!! This is why you don’t wait 3 days to bring your cat in of its not peeing! ( also this has never ever happened to me but I’ve heard it used to happen quite a bit in the past ! #cats #vet
⚠️ WARNING: If your cat is drinking more than usual and progressively losing weight — and they’re over 9 years old — it’s very possible they have kidney failure. It’s one of the most common conditions in older cats and often goes unnoticed until it’s advanced. You might also see more frequent urination, a dull coat, or even bad breath. Don’t wait. If left too long, it can lead to a uraemic crisis — a life-threatening emergency where toxins build up in the blood. Many cats don’t survive once they reach that point. Speak to your vet and get their blood and urine tested early. It can save their life. 🩺🐾 #cats #catowners #vet
This NEVER happenend to me!!! (Let me make that clear) … but back in the day vets often didnt make sure that female cats were actually females and would end up spaying a male…. Because lets be honest how often do cat owners misgender their young kittens😭 #cat#catt#catownerst#vett#vetmed#vetats
This is the worst call you can get as a vet … truly the saddest diagnosis for cats … **“So what’s happening is called a saddle thrombus. Basically, it’s a type of blood clot that forms in the heart — usually in cats with an underlying heart condition, even if it wasn’t picked up before. Over time, the heart doesn’t pump as effectively, and this can cause blood to pool and form a clot inside one of the heart chambers. That clot can eventually break off and travel through the bloodstream. When it gets to the point where the aorta splits into the arteries that go down the back legs, it can get stuck there — almost like a cork in a bottle. That spot is called the ‘saddle,’ and that’s why we call it a saddle thrombus. When that happens, the blood flow to the back legs is suddenly cut off, which is why cats often collapse or drag their back legs, cry in pain, or become very weak in their hind end. The paws may also feel cold, and the nails or paw pads can sometimes look bluish or pale because there’s no circulation. It’s a medical emergency, and it’s honestly one of the most heartbreaking conditions we see because it tends to come on very suddenly. Treatment depends on the severity, but it’s focused on managing pain, dissolving the clot if possible, and supporting circulation. Some cats may recover if the clot is small and they respond to treatment — especially if it’s caught very early. But in many cases, the damage is severe or the underlying heart disease is advanced, and then we need to make a difficult decision based on your cat’s comfort and quality of life. We’ll do everything we can to support your cat, but I want to be honest and let you know that this condition can be extremely serious.”** #vet #cats #cat
