PS you DON’T have to do this exact route + distance every day!! ✨What’s the Tour du Mont Blanc??✨ A 102 mile (164 km) loop that circumnavigates Western Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc. Popular start locations are: Chamonix, Les Contamines, Courmayeur, or Champex-Lac. Traditionally it is done in 11 stages, walking counterclockwise. We completed it in 7 stages, going clockwise due to limited availability at the time of booking. Only have a few days?? You don’t have to do the entire route! It can be a DIY your own adventure, doing only a few nights depending on your desired schedule and distance of hiking! If you want to go alone, I would go counterclockwise as you’ll meet WAY more people going that route and can make a group of friends! ✨How to book✨ @The Adventure Addicts booked everything so everyone say THANK YOU ZOE!!!! She’s also posting more videos on the TMB so check her page!! Everything can be booked online through the website www.montourdumontblanc.com . The website allows you to book by refuge, by availability, or it will help you construct your own trip. The Website will show you how many huts are available per area, how many hours of walking between huts, and what your next “stage” should be. ✨What I paid✨ I’ll have a daily/section breakdown in my next video, but I spent a total of $1150 USD on the entire 8 day trek. This includes lodging, food, transportation, and baggage fees. ✨What I packed✨ hiking outfit (sun hoodie, sports bra, shorts, sock, hat, trail runners, sunnies) hut outfit (tank, shorts, fleece, tevas) undies (4) puffy jacket xtra socks pants t-shirt PJS rain jacket swimsuit toiletries (toothbrush/paste, shampoo bar, soap bar, moisturizer, deodorant, sunscreen, brow gel) earplugs eyemask magnesium mouth tape laundry tabs pillowcase sleep sack rain cover microspikes water bag kindle + charger TP kula cloth camera + batteries + mic film camera + roll CASH - euro portable charger outlet converter + all cords earphones #tourdumontblanc #travelfrance #backpackingeurope

A few more things I do + tips 👇🏼✨ AD • I don’t put all of my passport photo copies and debit/credit cards in the same place. They get spread out between my backpack, wallet, or other bags. • I do a quick search to see if there are any specific cultural norms or ways to dress I should be aware of. For example, in specific areas of Indonesia you ended to have your shoulders covered so I bought a short sleeve t shirt before I arrived. • If the main language is not english, I write down the basic words in the other language “hello”, “thank you”, “excuse me”, etc. @Airalo tips + how I use it 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 You can download the app with the 🔗 in my bio & use code KAYLI3 for $3 off your first eSIM with Airalo :) • I use Airalo for data throughout different countries, so for using WhatsApp, social media, and various other phone apps. • I prefer to use an eSIM over a physical sim due to the convenience and for the fact that I don’t have to take my original sim card out. (I almost lost it once and would not want to deal with that) • For my upcoming trip to Portugal I already know I’ll have data when I land! It just makes my life a bit easier in not having to search for sim cards once I get to the new country. • I go to the Airalo app, pick the country/region that I’m headed to (I’ve done regional eSIMs for places like Europe or SE Asia). I typically do 10GB per week(ish), depends on how much work I know I’ll be having to do or how easily accessible wifi is. • I activate the eSIM, but don’t “turn on the line” until I land in the new country. This way I can use my regular data in the states until I fly over to my destination. #airalo #eSIM #traveltips #solofemaletravel #solotravel

I recently switched out some of my tank tops because my old ones from college officially bit the dust from so much use. My goal is to invest in higher quality pieces that will last me YEARS and so far a lot of what I own has done that!! @the_adventureaddicts influenced me on the Beyond yoga tanks & sun hoodie!! I waited till a few of the tank tops were on sale and snagged a few. She’s a great resource if you’re in the market for adventure clothes!! Everywhere I went and how much it cost me 👇🏼✨🌸 Just like all of my other international trips, I’m keeping tabs of every single penny I spend to give you an idea of how much this costs me! I know I hype up solo travel a lot but I truly love spending time with myself especially with days like this. So for this video… (prices in Euro) I stayed at the Passenger Hostel Hostel and it cost me €50 / night (Breakfast was included) For restaurants… Nola Kitchen (€8 berries & peanut smoothie was delicious!!) Floresta Cafe by Hungry Biker (€12 I got the hummus with GF bread) Com Cuore - GF pastel de nata!! Say Cheesecake! & Co (€9.5 it was not dedicated gf I just don’t eat the crust) Honest Greens (€8.95 I got the spicy feta bowl) Honu Poke Bowl (€12.8 went there the night before) Shops… Mercado 48 (The ceramic pieces I had from my story) I saw all the DMs about you guys just telling me to ship the items after the day had ended but I honestly might end my trip there just to get some… Ememta Store (€15 I got a small organizing bag) Humana thrifting Mon Père Vintage Activites… Porto Sao Bento Train station (my hostel was located here, the tiles are BEAUTIFUL) Torre dos Clergos (€10 walk up the tower to see a fantastic view of the city) Mercado do Bolhao (€11 on food SO MANY GOODIES) Cozy Yoga & Community studio (€14 drop in class, perfect thing after a looong travel day!!) Ok so the entire day… €151.2 yikes aaaand from here on out I will be not spending that much per day lol My time in Porto was very short. I oringally thought I would have more time the first day but the travel ate more time than planned. After exploring the city for a full day I already felt myself itching for some outdoor activity so I booked my bus to Peniche for the following day! I’ll be spending 5 nights near the area and I’m SO EXCITED TO SURFFFF!!!!! #solofemaletraveler #solotravel #travelportugal #portoportugal

places/recommendations from this video 👇🏼🦋 hostel: @33hostel surf lessons: @mocean_surf_peniche yoga: @vayayogastudio dinner: @cartel71_taqueria Cost in video is all in USD! Total in Euro would be about €112 The hostel I’m staying at is in Ferrel, which is an area just outside of the main town. There are restaurants, cafes, and shops all within walking distance. My run took me along the path that goes into the main town area of Peniche. This same path is easily bikeable and there’s so many options to wander around! I have many more recommendations from this area that I’ll add to my next carousel post!! That post will be the big list of Portugal recs so far. I originally thought about doing a surf camp while I am here, but I was booking super last minute and decided I wanted to have extra time to see more of the area. The surf lessons were great and well worth the time!! Makes me super excited to head back to Indonesia in the next few months to surf everyday :) Thank you to everyone who recommended Peniche!! It stole my heart and now will be a staple recommendation for me 💓💓 #solofemaletraveler #peniche #travelportugal #backpackingeurope

I’ve been losing more hair than normal recently, which is originally what sent me to chop it off a few months ago. I did love my long hair, but it wasn’t the thickness it used to be and it just didn’t feel like me anymore. When I was in Indonesia last summer I started noticing it thinning out a ton and I was losing so much more than normal. Once I got back to the states I used a hair serum which helped baby hairs start to grow back (!!) but it’ll be a long time before those catch up 😅 Then a month or so ago I had a period of time where I lost clumps again. SOOO short hair for the forseeable future!! Now that I started chopping it I keep having the urge to go shorter and shorter each appointment hehe Thank you @gigidomyhair for this cut (she’s located in Denver!) (and thank you to @Kade + Brooke Bandit for posting bc that’s how I found her!!) and @delaneylynnbeauty (IG) did the big chop for me back in April (she’s located in Sacramento!!) aaaand @Raychel • Travel & Life Abroad for the dm to get me thinking about the bob, I think I’ll go for the full cowgirl bob next time bc why not!! #hairtransformatıon #hairchange #lifeontheroad

traveled from Portugal to Switzerland to France in a day! flight Lisbon > Geneva train Geneva airport > main town bus Geneva > Chamonix Ate at the best little cafe right by the train station in Geneva and they had GF bread!!! It was called Oh Martine! I don’t even have the words to describe Chamonix!! I’ve been in so many mountain towns but this one is in the top 2 easily (Chalten, Argentina being the other top one). At some points I’ve had to remind myself it’s okay to look like a tourist because that is ✨what you are✨ (areas where you need to wear things for cultural considerations or safety are a different story) but yeah!! This has been such an incredible experience seeing a different side to these countries. The first time I came over here I went to England, Czech Republic and Hungry. Those were only city stops, it was an incredible trip of its own and no sleep was had 😅😅 A note for the sling bag - if I wanted to make it less accessible, I can tape the buckle and put a carabiner around the zippers just to give small reinforcements. I do still think there is value in theft proof bags and there are certainly areas I’ll eventually bring one to! #solofemaletraveler #solotravel #backpackingadventures

my itinerary below 👇🏼✨🌿 I originally thought I would have a few days to spend in Lisbon, but I was having too much fun in Peniche and didn’t want to leave!! At about 630pm I got to my hotel room, exhausted. I didn’t sleep well the night before, otherwise I would’ve had a little more energy for a few more stops and dinner out. My original plan was to book a hostel in Lisbon, but after seeing videos of the airport chaos I decided to splurge on a hotel near the airport so I could get there earlier. Also I know I literally just got my hair cut 3 weeks ago and I am still obsessed with that cut. I think my hair just grows fast because it already was feeling too long and I was like well, why not try a bob again! (Haircuts are more affordable here than in the states anyways). This cut does make me want to go back to brown though, like a deep dark brown. My hair was permanently died black for over a year so that will be a process… Luggage storage - Left Luggage Lockers Train view - Bica - Lg. Calhariz Breakfast - Honest Beans Market - Time out Market Haircut - WIP Airport Oldest bookstore - Livraria Bertrand Chiado Lunch (vegan restaurant) - A Green Affair Espresso/Famous cafe - A Brasileria Gluten free Pastel de Nata - Bali do Cais Clothing store - 351 NA wine shop - The Other Bottle Cute park - Parque Infantil da Praca dąs Flores Vintage/Thrift shops - Mess Vintg, aq2 vintage store, Pink vintage heart, arquivos vintage, all from @thelonesol #solofemaletraveler #travelportugal

I did 2 months traveling Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, then came back later to do 5 months of Philippines, Borneo, Indonesia and Japan. I’ve gone to Japan on 3 separate occasions. For the 5 month trip I spent $15,502 but my living expenses (food/accom/transport/daily activities was $1,363/month. I went over with a budget of $40/day and ended up with a $45/day average (for living expenses listed prior). Surf lessons, mountain summits, plane tickets and extra shopping was not included in the daily budget but were included in the total 5 month spend. I went to Ireland and Germany for a few weeks at the end of this 5 month trip but those costs were lumped in. This post doesn’t do any of these places justice but I have DETAILED posts listing every hostel/homestay I stayed, restaurants I loved, and every total of every penny I spent all summed up on previous carousel posts on my IG. The coffin gondola is not the real name, it’s Telecabine Gondelbahn Forcella del Sassolungo. One round trip ticket was €36 and if you wanna do one way and hike down it’s slightly cheaper. I parked on one of the lower road pullouts and walked about a mile up since all the lots were full. My hot chocolate was €4,5 :) #dolomites #backpackeurope #travelitaly #solofemaletravel
