“Can I pet her?” This guy wasn’t taking no for an answer… and honestly, my curiosity was piqued too. So I thought screw it, let’s see what happens 😬 Ivy came to us heavily medicated, on everything from behavioral drugs to psych meds. None of it was helping. She wasn’t just lashing out at strangers, she was biting her own owners too. The last advice they got from both their vet and previous trainer? PUT HER DOWN 😵🤯 Sadly, we hear that far too often. But Ivy’s people refused to give up on her, and so do we. All of Ivy’s previous confidence came in the form of showing aggression and lashing out. Now that those options have been removed, she’s trying to find herself all over again. She’s come a long way. You can still see how uncomfortable she is in moments like this, but the progress is undeniable. She’s not reacting with the same explosiveness she once did. And that’s a huge win for a pup like her. We’ll continue putting her in situations like this, helping her find her confidence in public settings, for real this time. One step at a time. We’ve got her ❤️💪 Also if anyone knows who this guy is tell him he’s hired! Amazing energy in that human being 🙏 Do you guys think Ivy will ever be comfortable in social settings?
