I have always believed that true connections transcend age, and my relationship is a testament to that. I fell in love with a man 26 years older than me—not because of the number on his birth certificate, but because of the depth of his character, the strength of his experiences, and the wisdom he carries. The flight suit didn’t hurt either. 😮‍💨😉 He spent his life as a fighter pilot taking after his father. 🙂 He ended up retiring as a colonel in the Air Force; embodying discipline, courage, and resilience. He has seen the world from perspectives most can only imagine—both from the sky and through the challenges that come with serving at such a high level. He’s lived all over the WORLD! Can speak Italian and knows everything about space as he also worked at NASA. You should google who his uncle is. 😉 What drew me to him wasn’t just his impressive career, but the person behind the uniform. He is a leader, a protector, and someone who has navigated life with honor and purpose. His stories aren’t just tales of adventure; they are lessons in perseverance, sacrifice, and dedication. He understands responsibility on a level that many never will, and yet, with all his strength, he still has the gentleness to love deeply, respect fully, and support unconditionally. Age doesn’t define love—compatibility, shared values, and mutual admiration do. When you find someone who makes you feel safe, inspired, and endlessly appreciated, you don’t question why, you simply embrace it. Life is too short to let societal norms dictate who we love. I choose him, just as he chooses me—because at the end of the day, it’s not about years, it’s about the quality of the love we share.
