So this tattoo really is a special one ❤️ Growing up, my childhood pet wasn’t a dog, or a cat, but was a silly little blue Dutch rabbit named Smokey. This little bun was my absolute world growing up, and when he became very unwell one day and had to be hospitalised, his recovery and the care the vets gave to him inspired me completely to become a vet myself - he really changed my life ❤️ Now I know what you’re thinking: “Izzy, didn’t you make a wholeass video about how rabbits are terrible pets?!” - to which I still firmly reply that yes, yes they are. Smokey was expensive to feed and get vaccinated, didn’t always want to be held or interacted with, was hard to look after when on holiday, and when he got unwell, boy howdy he didn’t do it by halves. But I adored him, and he was a very sweet natured rabbit who was biddable and kind, and lived to the ripe old age of 11 years old. This tattoo is a tribute to him, and I chose to make him a jackalope after being inspired by them on a recent trip to America.
