A crystal-covered chair created by Italian artist Nicola Bolla has been destroyed as a couple took animated photos before falling onto the artwork. The couple then fled the museum without notifying any staff of the incident and have not yet been identified. Whilst the chair has since been restored, the Palazzo Maffei Museum in Verona was initially unsure if this would be possible. The museum is now using the unfortunate incident to spread the importance of valuing and respecting artwork when visiting galleries, museums and places of worship. They remind viewers that art is "to be loved [and] protected." #VanGogh #museum #art
